Join us tonight in Circle
7:30-9pm EST ❃ Online ❃ Donation-based
Shawna Emerick & I are very grateful for tonight’s Circle. It’s here for you and your heart. A place to ground and connect in these times, and have space for all that’s alive.
No prior circle or meditation experience is required. Just you, your heart, and your authentic self.
Taking down our altars
What are you holding these days? What’s alive for you? And what within all of that needs to be intentionally released and cleared in preparation for something new?
There’s a lot going on these days—for us collectively and for each of us personally.
The type of change we’re experiencing can leave many us feeling like we’re in some sort of in-between place. Not sure what is what, where it’s all going, and where we’re going to land.
While disorienting and heart wrenching, there’s an opportunity to step back and pause within this. To use this moment to look around and take stock of where we are. And intentionally clear what we no longer want to carry forward.
This is the invitation that the times are offering us these days—both politically and culturally, as well as seasonally as we head towards the Equinox.
Which is why I’m sharing this guided meditation with you—it’s an invitation to turn inward and sense into what needs to be intentionally cleared, so—down the line—you can be ready for what wants to emerge.
This is also the theme for tonight’s Circle—taking stock of what we’re holding these days and giving ourselves permission to let go of what needs to be cleared.
All of this is in part inspired by a newsletter I read from spiritual teacher and founder of Sequoia Samanvaya, Sara Jolena Woolcott. Referencing a talk by Pat McCabe (Woman Stands Shining), she said:
[Pat] discussed the (overarching and continual) importance of shedding/releasing, including for those people who bleed monthly to properly return their Moon Blood to Earth; and the importance of taking down our altars after a ceremony.
“Take down the altar.” Yes. That phrase stuck with me, rattling around my mind, like something I needed.
For myself, yes.
And for the collective? Symbolically, I wondered, what have we been placing on the altar that this moment invites us to take down?
Thank you, Sara Jolena.
